AVE MARIA NURSERY SCHOOL

The almanac provides information about our School's academic calendar, events and activities. It provides for parents, a clear idea as to what their wards would be doing throughout the entire year and thereby plan out the year ahead.

Ave Maria Nursery School is a co-educational institution. It strives to develop the intellectual curiosity and personal growth in each child through a well-balanced curriculum based on a holistic approach, keeping in mind their roots and traditions. Our School activities aim at developing creativity and a learning environment that motivates children to explore and observe. By fostering self-inspired learning, children are taught how to think rather than what to think. Each child is precious and our endeavour is to give them a plethora of activities to experience the joy of discovering..

OBJECTIVES

  1. To create an atmosphere that is interesting and child-friendly.
  2. To foster sense of competence, self - confidence and emotional as well as physical well-being in each sudent.
  3. To give all kinds of exposure to widen their horizons and enhance their knowledge.
  4. To reach their full potential and grow into ell mannered, considerate and fine individuals.
  5. To develop social skills like polite vocabulary, good habits for play time, meal time and class activities.
  6. To inculcate values of sharing and caring.

GENERAL RULES-

School Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Office Hours : 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

VISITING HOURS

  1. The Principal will meet parents between 09.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on any working day, with prior appointment only.
  2. Parents are not permitted to visit their wards or the teachers in the classrooms during School hours.
  3. Parents may interact with the teachers on any working Saturday of the month between 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with prior appointment.
  4. PTM timings – 8:30 am to 11:30 am, on dates mentioned in the School almanac.

SCHOOL ALMANAC

  1. Students must bring the almanac to School everyday.
  2. The almanac is the only communication channel between parents and the School, therefore parents must refer to this on daily basis.
  3. Any note from the teacher must be acknowledged by the parent with a signature.
  4. Parents may communicate with the teacher through this diary.
  5. If the diary is lost, a new one should be bought at a payment of Rs 100/-.
  6. Any change in address or telephone number should be intimated to the class teacher through the School almanac immediately.
  7. Sometimes, due to unavoidable circumstances the given dates for activities may be changed.

RULES OF CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE :

  1. Parents are requested to co-operate with the School to ensure that their wards follow the School rules of conduct and discipline.
  2. The name, class and section of the student should be clearly marked on all the belongings of your ward.
  3. Jewellery, henna, nail paint, tattoos etc. are not allowed.
  4. All students must reach the School before 7:55 am so that they are present for the morning assembly everyday.
  5. Students should participate in all the School events and activities as it is beneficial for their all round development.

UNIFORM

  1. All students, without exception must wear the School uniform in accordance with the School pattern.
  2. Parents are requested to cooperate with the School authorities in this matter and ensure that the students wear neat and tidy uniform to School everyday.
  3. The School uniform comprises of the following for both boys and girls :

Summer Uniform

  • · Full length grey trousers
  • · Pink and grey check, full sleeves shirt with the name of the school(Ave Maria) embroidered on its pocket.
  • · Grey socks with pink stripes.
  • · Black Leather shoes with velcro straps.
  • · White hair bands/ white rubber bands/ white hair clips for girls.

Winter Uniform

  • · Red sweat shirt.
  • · Navy Blue Jacket with a hood and name of the school(Ave Maria) embroidered on its pocket.
  • · Red hair bands/ red rubber bands/ red hair clips for girls. (Socks & shoes will remain same for both the seasons).

4.The winter uniform should be worn from November 1st or as instructed by the School as per the weather conditions.

PROCEDURE FOR THE PAYMENT OF FEE

  1. Fee payment can be made on the School website www.avemarianurseryschool.com through UPI & Net Banking.
  2. Payment can also be made through a Demand Draft in favour of "Ave Maria Nursery School" and must be deposited in the School's accounts office.
  3. Please note: A fine of Rs 20 /- per day will be charged for the late payment of the fee after 10th of each month.

Do's and Don'ts

  1. The child should be punctual and regular in coming to School.
  2. Students must bring their water bottle and ensure that it is clean from the outside as well as inside. They should also carry a spare set of clothes in their school bag everyday.
  3. Kindly fill the Personal Information page and procure a Medical certificate.
  4. Check your child's diary every day for notes and circulars.
  5. Help your child to pick up clean habits like washing hands, using dustbins, using a hanky while sneezing or coughing etc.
  6. Help her/him to use polite words and check undesirable vocabulary.
  7. Help her/him to do all kinds of errands and chores, like help you in the kitchen, dusting, arranging things in order etc.
  8. Students will not be handed over without the Parent ID card. A person not known to us will not be allowed to take the child from School even when she/he is a close relative, unless they show the parent ID Card given by the School and a signed note by the parent.
  9. Do not send the child to School if she/he is unwell.
  10. In case a child is to leave the School during school hours, a gate pass should be obtained from the Principal's office.

ABSENCE

  1. It is compulsory for students to have at least 75% attendance in the academic year.
  2. A student returning to School after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor's certificate of fitness.
  3. Any student suffering with fever or any kind of pain/aches should not be sent to School.

BUS RULES

  1. Bring your ward to the bus stop on time.
  2. Come on time to collect your ward from the bus stop at the end of the day. If no one is found at the stop, the child will be brought back to the School.
  3. The front door of the bus is the only authorised entrance and exit.
  4. The drivers are authorised to stop the buses at the designated stop only. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all the students.
  5. The bus will not stop anywhere else but the designated stops. Requests for deboarding half way through or other stops will not be considered.
  6. Parents MUST NOT call bus incharge teachers during the route time. A live location is sent to you. The teacher cannot be asked to wait for your convenience or late arrival.
  7. Kindly speak to the Principal after taking an appointment regarding any issue you might have.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

Students can avail of the School transport subject to the availability of seats. The information regarding bus routes can be obtained from the School office.

EVALUATION

  1. There are no formal tests / examinations.
  2. Continuous evaluation takes place without putting any pressure on the child.
  3. PTM's are held at regular intervals to inform the parents about the progress of their ward from time to time. Therefore, it is mandatory for the parents to attend the PTM.
  4. Parents should check the almanac for the dates.
